We try to make the short time a service user spends with us a little holiday – something to enjoy.

We offer short term 24 hour care and short break services. These are developed specially for people with severe and profound learning disabilities and associated complex needs such as physical disabilities, sensory impairments and epilepsy.

Before anyone begins to use our service, a meeting takes place so that their individual needs and preferences are clear to us. Detailed care and health action plans are then prepared and reviewed before each new visit.

Our dedicated, highly-trained, short-break staff team is led by an experienced manager who has been with Dalesview since 2000. We provide short breaks to people from all over North West England.

Beechdale is a spacious, bungalow registered for seven service users. It is in Leyland just 5 minutes from the M6 motorway. It is furnished to create a warm and homely atmosphere. Several rooms are en-suite and a favourite area of many service users is its relaxation and sensory room.

Lifestyle, our daycare service, is available to everyone (see Lifestyle page). Staff members assist service users with their individual interests.

We offer a transport service to and from Beechdale. Adapted vehicles are available for Lifestyle activities.
